Walnut Creek wine enthusiasts are in for a treat as a brand-new wine bar, the Library Social Club, is set to open its doors in just a couple of weeks. Located in downtown Walnut Creek, the long-awaited wine bar will provide a charming space for patrons to indulge in a wide selection of libations and delectable small bites.
Situated at the former Guava Eats space on 1506 N. Main St., the Library Social Club is the brainchild of co-owners JB Balingit, Eddy Negrete, and Leo Negrete, who have successfully established the popular Hideout Kitchen in Lafayette. Similar to its sister establishment, which specializes in American comfort cuisine, the Library Social Club will offer a delectable menu. However, the true focus of this wine bar will be its impressive array of wines and beers.
Emphasizing a membership-based service and a unique “social experience,” the Library Social Club will feature a captivating ambiance adorned with carefully repurposed vintage decor. The establishment aims to cater to various tastes and budgets, offering a thoughtfully curated selection of both esoteric and classic wines, as well as locally crafted beers.
Membership packages at the Library Social Club are designed to suit different preferences and budgets. The Apprentice package, starting at $100 per month, includes one to two bottles of wine, a complimentary tasting, and exclusive discounts. For $150 per month, members can enjoy The Academic package, which provides one to two bottles of wine, three complimentary tastings, priority invitations to winemaker dinners, vineyard and brewery tours, and additional perks.
The team is eagerly preparing for a mid-June opening. Wine enthusiasts and socializing aficionados alike can anticipate an exceptional experience at this much-anticipated wine bar in the heart of Walnut Creek.
